Description	:	Ruth E. Bergstedt, 88, of Napoleon, Ohio passed away on Sunday, April 16, 2017 at Genacross Lutheran Home, Napoleon, Ohio surrounded by her loving family. She was born on February 7, 1929 in Freedom Township to the late Carl and Minnie (Bergman) Behnfeldt. On April 24, 1949 she married Donald Bergstedt at St. John Lutheran Church, Freedom Township, Ohio and he preceded her in death on September 17, 2005. Read More	Ruth E. Bergstedt, 88, of Napoleon, Ohio passed away on Sunday, April 16, 2017 at Genacross Lutheran Home, Napoleon, Ohio surrounded by her loving family. She was born on February 7, 1929 in Freedom Township to the late Carl and Minnie (Bergman) Behnfeldt. On April 24, 1949 she married Donald Bergstedt at St. John Lutheran Church, Freedom Township, Ohio and he preceded her in death on September 17, 2005. Ruth was a homemaker and enjoyed babysitting for her grandchildren and many other children throughout the years. She was a faithful member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Napoleon, where she was an active member of the St. Paul Mission Society who dedicated time preparing funeral luncheons. She also taught Sunday School for many years. She was a member of the Napoleon American Legion Auxiliary. Ruth is survived by sons, Tom (Marilyn), Mike (Darlene), Joe (Deb), and Scott (Shelley) Bergstedt all of Napoleon, Ohio; grandchildren, Amy (Gary) Olbrysh, Todd (Kim) Bergstedt, Brad (Jennifer) Bergstedt, Casey (Amber) Bergstedt, Jennifer (Frank) Dudas, Jessica (Scott) Durham, Alyssa Bergstedt (Danny Hoshock), Greg (Meghan) Bergstedt, and Kyle Bergstedt; 11 great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Jim Bergstedt, and a grandson, Brian Bergstedt. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Napoleon, Ohio. Interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 2-8 p.m. at Rodenberger Funeral Home, Napoleon and Thursday from 10-11 a.m. at the church.
