Description	:	Hildonna "Donnie" R. Hesselschwardt, 80, rural Defiance, died at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2008, in Defiance Area In-Patient Hospice Center. She was born Oct. 1, 1927, in Defiance County's Adams Township, the daughter of Francis and Anna (Siler) Sheets. In 1952, she married Hubert Hesselschwardt, who died in 2000. She was a member of St. Isidore's Catholic Church, Catholic Ladies of Columbia and Marysdale Altar Rosary Society. Read More	Hildonna "Donnie" R. Hesselschwardt, 80, rural Defiance, died at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2008, in Defiance Area In-Patient Hospice Center. She was born Oct. 1, 1927, in Defiance County's Adams Township, the daughter of Francis and Anna (Siler) Sheets. In 1952, she married Hubert Hesselschwardt, who died in 2000. She was a member of St. Isidore's Catholic Church, Catholic Ladies of Columbia and Marysdale Altar Rosary Society. She was a league secretary for 40 years for various bowling leagues -- Monday, Thursday and Sunday mixed teams, and was president of the International Bowling Congress. She was a member of Women's International Bowling Congress and past committee member of Christo Rey Credit Union. Surviving are two daughters, Donna of Edon and Deborah (Mark) DuQuette, Wilmington; two sons, Gale (Robin) of Ney and Michael, Defiance; three sisters, Theresa Hoffman of Fremont and Irene Zipfel and Coletta Sheets of Defiance; a brother, Martin (Lucille) Sheets, Defiance; and eight grandchildren. Also preceding her in death were four sons, in infancy; three brothers, Joseph, Wesley and Paul Sheets; and four sisters, Rosie Gladieux, Agnes Vandoern, Mary Kuhn and Esther Batt. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in St. Isidore's Catholic Church at Marysdale with Rev. Dave Tscherne officiating. Burial will be in Marysdale Cemetery. Visitation is from 2-9 p.m. Friday at Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home with a rosary service at 8 p.m. Preferred memorials are to Hospice the Caring Way of Defiance.
