Following obituary, from unknown newspaper: Hiram Jackson Sisco, son of William and Eliza Sisco was born October 27, 1846 in Franklin County, Ohio, and dparted this life at his home near Burchard, Nebr. June 8, 1931, at the age of 84 years, 7 months and 11 days. On March 21, 1869, he was united in marriage to Mary Agnes Merrill at Compton, , Ill. To this union were born six children, one passing away in infancy. He leaves to mourn his departure, his wife, five children, Joe of Lewiston; George who lives on the home place near his folks; Mrs. George Schram of Crab Orchard; Mrs. W. A. Wolfe of Auburn and Mrs. John Campbell of Pawnee City; a sister, Mrs. Johnson of Bookwalter; also 17 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and many friends. At the age of 10 he moved with his parents from Ohio to Illinois where he made his home until the spring of 1881, when he moved to his home in Pawnee county, Nebr. near Burchard where he resided until his death. Mr. Sisco came to this county 50 years ago last spring, when the present home was prairie , and he saw the country develop during those years. Mr. Sisco was a good neighbor and friend to all and always thoughtful of his family. He was always ready to do some kindness to others whenever he could. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him Funeral services were held at the family home, Wednesday, at 2:30, conducted by Rev. R. J. Molzahn of Burchard, and interment was made at Burchard.
