Description	:	Funeral services were held Saturday Aug. 7th at 11 a.m. in Nazareth Lutheran Church for Holger Briggs, age 59, who died unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 4th in a Minot hospital. Rev. Donald Burton officiated, Mrs. Joan Larson was organist and Bud Carlson sang. Pallbearers were Gerald Rasmusson, James Schumacher, James Bartuska, Art Lunde, Joe Pierce and John Larson. He was reared in the area and farmed with his father. He married Elaine Strand at Flaxton Nov. 23, 1943. They lived in Bowbells and he worked at Mertes Implement. In 1951 they moved to a farm near Bowbells where they farmed before joining the Coast To Coast hardware chain that took them to Crosby from 1956 to 1961 and to Vancouver, Wash., from 1961 to 1963. Then they moved to Kenmare where he continued with Coast To Coast until 1970. He worked in maintenance at the Kenmare Hospital until 1979 when he returned to the Coast To Coast store in Kenmare. Surviving Holger are his wife; son, Robert, Minot; daughter, Mrs. Ernest (Sharon) Mau, Tolley; five grandchildren; a brother, Donald, Everett, Wash.; sisters, Mrs. Edith Starnes and Mrs. Mary Ann Jorgensen, both Seattle.
