Description	:	Former Official, 68, Dies Nelsonville- Homer Adams 68, of 806 Chestnut St, died unexpectedly Saturday morning of an apparent heart attack at his home. Born in Athens County, he was the son of the late Lee Andrew and Lina Day Adams. He was a retired investigator with the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles and was a Nelsonville service-safety director under the administration of Mayor Earl Hilleary. He is survived by his wife, Catherine Breeze Adams, two daughters, Mrs. Ronnie Lauderback of Nelsonville Route 2, and Angela of the home ; two sons; Homer Jr. and Dick, both of Nelsonville; three brothers, Robert of Lancaster, Gilbert of Nelsonville and Spencer of Nelsonville Route 1; a sister, Mrs. Catherine Monk of Columbus; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Cephas, Richard, Fred and Willard; three sisters, Olive Woods, Thelma Donahue and Teresa Fields. Sevices will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev Duane Saylor officiating. Burial will be in Connett Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Monday.
