Mr Hillard, a farmer, was born Feb 8, 1888 in Ross County, the son of George R and Laura E Hahn Hillard, and lived in this area for over 50 years. Mr Hillard, a farmer, was born Feb 8, 1888 in Ross County, the son of George R and Laura E Hahn Hillard, and lived in this area for over 50 years. Formerly employed at the Springfield Metallic Casket Co, he was a member of the Epiphany Episcopal Church, Urbana; the Clark County Farm Bureau, Anthony Lodge No 455, F and AM; Springfield Chapter No 48; Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite, Valley of Dayton; Home City Chapter No 258, OES; and was a member and past master of the Tremont Grance No 90. He was a former member of the New Moorefield School Board. Survivors include his wife, R Naomi; three sons, Gregory A, at home; Homer H, Jr, of Bowling Green, and George D, of Springfield, Middle Urbana rd; one sister, Mrs Melissa Hogan, of Fort Lauderdale, Fla; two brothers, Grover, of Mechanicsburg and Floyd, of Springfield, and six grandchildren. His body was taken to the Littleton Funeral Home where friends may call from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 pm Friday. Services 1 pm Saturday in the funeral home with the Rev William H Schneider, pastor of the Epiphany Episcopal Church, officiating. Burial will be in South Vienna.
