Description	:	Hosea Mahlon Sarty 1954 Bridgewater Bulletin Hosea Mahlon Sarty departed this life at his home in Scarsdale, Sunday, February 21st., 1954, at the age of 69 years 9 months. The deceased had been in failing health for several years. He suffered a stroke February 13th., from which he never regained consciousness. He was born in West Northfield. Read More	Hosea Mahlon Sarty 1954 Bridgewater Bulletin Hosea Mahlon Sarty departed this life at his home in Scarsdale, Sunday, February 21st., 1954, at the age of 69 years 9 months. The deceased had been in failing health for several years. He suffered a stroke February 13th., from which he never regained consciousness. He was born in West Northfield. His parents moved to Scarsdale when he was eleven years old, where he had made his home ever since. He was a kind and loving husband and father and as esteemed citizen in the community. He was a son of the late John and Elizabeth (Rafuse) Sarty. Surviving are his widow, the former Florence Rhodenizer, Farmington; one son, Lloyd, Westville, Nova Scotia; one daughter, Vivian (Mrs. Orman Kaulback); one brother, Arthur, Chelmsford, Mass.; four sisters, Ida (Mrs. Bennett Eisener), Scarsdale; Anne (Mrs. Samuel Clarke), Chelmsford, Mass.; Bernice (Mrs. Ernest Saben), Worcester, Mass.; also eleven grandchildren and one great grandchild. Two sisters, Ella (Mrs. Sylvanus Langille) and Bertha (Mrs. Norman Rafuse), predeceased him. The funeral service was held at his late home February 23rd., at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Frank Locke officiating. Interment was in Parkdale Cemetery. Hymns sung were "Sweet Bye and Bye," "The Home Over there," and "Abide With Me" with Mrs. Oran Veinot, organist. "Nearer, My God, to Thee" was played softly at the close of the service. Pall bearers were Ezra and Albert Eisener, Charles Zwicker, Paul Zinck, with Leslie Rafuse and Herman deLong assisitng at the cemetery. With thanks to Rosemary Rafuse.
