Description	:	Howard Fuson Smith Age 84, of Hanover Township, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, August 12, 2016 at his residence. He was born on June 8, 1932 in Middlesboro, Kentucky, the youngest of 15 children of William Boyd and Nellie (Watson) Smith. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army serving during the Korean Conflict. Read More	Howard Fuson Smith Age 84, of Hanover Township, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, August 12, 2016 at his residence. He was born on June 8, 1932 in Middlesboro, Kentucky, the youngest of 15 children of William Boyd and Nellie (Watson) Smith. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army serving during the Korean Conflict. He married Dorothy Head in Cumberland Gap, Tennessee on September 1, 1952. He was the owner and operator of A-1 Seamless Gutters and Siding since 1959 and operated Smith’s Barn, the site where turkey shoots, horseshoes, corn hole and gospel singing took place. Howard was a member of East River Road Baptist Church, VFW Post #1069 and was a Kentucky Colonel. He was an avid fisherman, a horse trader and loved to sing and play his guitar for East River Road Baptist Radio and his family. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Dorothy; children, Gladys L. Smith Conley, Hamilton, Roy W. (Jennifer) Smith, Hamilton and Nellie R. (Kevin) Lawson, Oxford; brother, Willard Smith, Middlesboro, Kentucky; sister, Naomi Russell Speedwell, Tennessee; grandchildren, Jamie Ann, Chrissy, Courtney, Howie and Kristen; great grandchildren, Megan, Tyler, Teren, Myna Jane and Craig, Jr.; many, many loved nieces, nephews and a host of other friends and relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Clay, Richard, George, Jim, Charlie, Robert and Donald and sisters, Ethel Thacker, Clara Earl and Dorothy Wilcox. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Weigel Funeral Home, 980 N. W. Washington Blvd. with Pastors, Tim Mullins and Laman Hubbs officiating. Burial will be in Millville Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday evening, August 16 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Online condolences are available at www.weigelfuneralhome.com
