Description	:	Fatal Accident-A sad casualty occurred near Hazel Ridge school house, about two and a half miles northwest of town, last Saturday night, resulting in the death of a young man well known and highly esteemed in this city and vicinity. Mr. Hubbard Andrews. He had hitched up his team to the carriage, late Saturday evening, and started for Mr. Beeler's, two or three miles further north, and was noticed driving past Mr. Seth Stinson's between nine and ten o'clock. As near as can be learned this was the last seen of him alive. The following morning, his mother, on going out, found the horses standing at the gate. She at once informed the neighbors, who started in search of the young man. They had not proceeded far before they found him at the cross roads, near Hazel Ridge school house, lying dead near a post with his skull crushed. The buggy was found overturned a few rods further on. From the indications it was apparent that the horses had, from some cause, become frightened, and run away, turning short at the corner and hurling him out against the post. The corner was sent for on Sunday morning, a jury summoned, and a verdict of accidental death rendered, substantially in accordance with the foregoing fact. The funeral services were held Monday, and were attended by a large crowd of sympathizing friends. All lament the tragic fate of Hubbard Andrews, who was a young man of excellent qualities, and the deepest sympathy is felt for his aged mother who has lost the companion and support of her declining years.
