Ernest Switzer, pastor of the Trinity Lutheran church in Wolbach and the Rev. Ernest Gaither, pastor of the Methodist Church of Fullerton officiated with the Beaman and Palmer Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial was in the Fullerton cemetery. Hubert Marcus McCray was born September 2, 1887 at Rising City, Nebraska and departed this life at his home near Wolbach, Nebraska on September 12, 1957 at the age of 70 years and 10 days. His early life was spent in Butler County, Nebraska. Here he attended school and was united with the English Lutheran Church at Surprise, Nebraska and remained a member there. He was united in marriage to Hattie M. Stark on Febraury 28, 1917 at Wolbach, Nebraska. To this union six children were born, three sons and three daughters. After marriage they settled on a farm near Wolbach and have resided on this same farm ever since. He was a kind and loving husband and father, making his home and family the center of his interests. He is survived by his wife Hattie; three daughters, Mrs. Doris Berney of Wolbach, Nebraska, Mrs. Louise Wondercheck of St. Edward, Nebraska, and Mrs. Leila Cyza of Alliance, Nebraska; three sons, Everett of Wolbach and Robert and Kenneth both at home; two sisters, Mrs. Howard Lewis and Miss Edith McCray both of Lincoln, Nebraska; three brothers, Ralph McCray of Genoa, Nebraska, Lester McCray of Long View, Washington and Neil McCray of Fullerton, Nebraska and fourteen grandchildren.
