Read More	Death Claims Mrs. J. F. White Funeral Services Will Be Held In Manhattan Thursday Burial In Meadow View Cemetery Funeral services for Mrs. John F. White, who died at the Deaconess hospital in Bozeman Monday morning, Feb. 27, will be held at the Baptist church in Manhattan, Thursday afternoon, March 2, at two o'clock, and burial will be in the family plot in the Meadow View cemetery southeast of Manhattan. Mrs. White was Icy May Lemons, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. James H. Lemons. She was born in Adair county, Missouri, Feb. 14, 1874, and with her parents she crossed the plains with horses and a covered wagon in 1878. They located near the town of Saleville, now Gallatin Gateway, where Icy grew to womamhood. She received her education in the country schools near Saleville and in the Salesville school. She was married at the home of her parents on Spanish Creek, Feb. 1, 1894, to John Franklin White, a son of early pioneers of Gallatin county, the late Mr. and Mrs. John White, who resided in Bozeman during the later years of their life. John White took his bride to the ranch two miles south of Manhattan, where they have since made their home, and where they have been visited by many relatives and friends. Mrs. White had a cold and cough a few weeks ago from which she seemed to have fully recovered, and she was taken ill Tuesday evening of last week, with what the doctor thought first was an attack of pleurisy, but on Thursday, he decided it was a mild attack of pneumonia, and on the doctor's advice she was brought to the Deaconess hospital Thursday afternoon for special care and medical treatment. Her son in law and daughter Mr. and Mrs. David Hier of Dillon, who were notified Thursday morning of her illness, motored to the ranch and with Mr. White accompanied his wife to Bozeman. She passed away at the hospital, Monday morning, Feb. 27, at 10:25. Beside her husband, Mrs. White is survived by the one daughter, Mrs. David (Frankie) Hier of Dillon and by three brothers, Iva G. Lemons living near Manhattan; Ira J. Lemons near Wilsall and Harvey Lemons of Manhattan, and by two sisters, Mrs. John (Lou) Heeb of Glendale, Calf. and Mrs. fred (Belle) Hahn of Helena. She leaves a number of nieces and nephews in Bozeman and other parts of the Gallatin Valley and other cities, and many friends who will extend sympathy in the bereaved relatives.
