Description	:	Funeral Held Thursday for Mrs. Ida Hoferer, 81 Funeral services for Mrs. Ida Hoferer, who passed away at Lundberg Memorial Hospital on Monday, April 20, at the age of 81, were conducted Thursday afternoon with the Rev. Marvin Ritterling, pastor, officiating. Pallbearers were Leland George, Don Elwood, Raymond Johnson, Herbert Saloum, Walter Prischmann and Ray Hurley. Read More	Funeral Held Thursday for Mrs. Ida Hoferer, 81 Funeral services for Mrs. Ida Hoferer, who passed away at Lundberg Memorial Hospital on Monday, April 20, at the age of 81, were conducted Thursday afternoon with the Rev. Marvin Ritterling, pastor, officiating. Pallbearers were Leland George, Don Elwood, Raymond Johnson, Herbert Saloum, Walter Prischmann and Ray Hurley. Ida Helen Buddenhagen was born May 23, 1877 in Marsberg, Germany. She was baptized as an infant and confirmed in the Lutheran Church in Warburg. In 1893 she, with her mother and brother, emigrated to America, coming directly to Creighton, where her father was pastor of Zion Lutheran Church. She was united in marriage to William P. Hoferer at Creighton and they continued to make their home here the remainder of their lives. They observed their 60th wedding anniversary on Dec. 1, 1955. Her husband preceded her in death on May 10, 1956. One son, Gerhard, died in early childhood. Mrs. Hoferer served as organist at Zion Lutheran Church and one of the highlights of her life was when the congregation honored her upon the completion of her 50th year of playing the organ. On Christmas Day, 1958, she became suddenly ill and was taken to Lundberg Memorial Hospital. She improved some, but on Sunday, April 12, was again stricken and passed away about a week later. Surviving her are her brother, the Rev. Albert Buddenhagen of Tinley Part, Ill; three daughters, Mrs. Harvey (Ilda) Berry of Omaha, Mrs. Fritz (Erma) Schlapkohl of Creighton and Mrs. Thomas (Gerda) Wells of Los Angeles, Calif.; one son, the Rev.
