Description	:	Ida Mae Carson Wyatt began this life March 7, 1868, at Angola, Indiana, the daughter of Henry and Arilla Brode. She passed to her reward on August 15, 1944, at the age of 76 years, 5 months and 8 days. On September 5, 1888, she united in marriage with Henry Carson and two years later they came and settled in Fairmont, Nebr. She passed to her reward on August 15, 1944, at the age of 76 years, 5 months and 8 days. On September 5, 1888, she united in marriage with Henry Carson and two years later they came and settled in Fairmont, Nebr. Seven children came to bless this union, Mrs. Nellie Anderson and Mrs. Lenore Wyatt of Houston, Texas; Frank of Freeport, Texas; Walter of Springfield, Ill.; Burt of Beardstown, Ill.; and Harry of Fairmont. Ora Lee died in infancy. Early in life her interest in the finer, richer things of life became manifest. She united with Grace Methodist Church in Fairmont. Later when she moved to Jacksonville, Ill. she transferred her letter to Grace Methodist church, where her membership remained until her passing. Always one of happy disposition, she loved to turn a frown into a smile. She delighted to help her many customers who came into her store. It seemed as though she were giving her friends things rather than selling them merchandise. She felt she had lost her best friend when she sold her store. Often she would say to her loved ones to have faith in God, that the Lord is their Shepherd. Mr. Carson preceded her in death, and later was united in marriage to Arthur Wyatt. After this marriage she moved to Jacksonville, Ill. She made her home there until a few months before her passing, when she went to Houston, Texas, to make a visit. While there illness took her to the hospital and the end of this earthly life came to its close. She leaves to mourn, her children, eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, as well as many friends. Funeral services were held in the Kritner Funeral Home in Fairmont at two o'clock p.m., Saturday, August 19 with Rev. L.A. Fishel, pastor of the Fairmont Methodist church, officiating. The singers were Elwood Bender, Alden McFadden, Mrs. Ross Dorrance and Mrs. Rufus Dado, with Mrs. A.A. Ashby at the piano. Interment was made in the family plot in the Fairmont cemetery. Pallbearers were Willard Goodrich, George White, Francis Schepers, Floyd Abbott, Preston Ogden and D.W. Stephenson.
