Description	:	Ida Mae Siefkes, 76, of Lincoln died at her home on July 22, 2013. She was born on December 2, 1936 at rural Holmesville and was confirmed at St. John Lutheran Church of Beatrice. She graduated from Holmesville High School in 1955. She worked at Reed Insurance as a secretary in Beatrice and then lived in Omaha for a short time before moving to Lincoln in 1963. Read More	Ida Mae Siefkes, 76, of Lincoln died at her home on July 22, 2013. She was born on December 2, 1936 at rural Holmesville and was confirmed at St. John Lutheran Church of Beatrice. She graduated from Holmesville High School in 1955. She worked at Reed Insurance as a secretary in Beatrice and then lived in Omaha for a short time before moving to Lincoln in 1963. She worked for Victor Business Forms (Control Data Corp.) for six years; Reynolds, Blake and Simmons, Bob Reynolds Insurance Agency for 16 years; was the office manager for "Inside Lincoln Business" magazine; Safety Director for Nebraska Boiler and assistant safety coordinator for National Crane in Waverly, retiring in 2000. She was a former member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church of rural Beatrice, St. John Lutheran Church of Beatrice and Holy Cross Lutheran Church of Beatrice where she had served as the President of the Congregation for four years. She was a former member of the National Secretaries Association and the Lincoln Women's Chamber of Commerce. Survivors include one brother, Reinder Siefkes and wife Carol of Lincoln; one sister-in-law, Betty Siefkes of Beatrice; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Grace Zimmerman Siefkes and one brother, Bernhard Siefkes. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, July 26, 2013 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church of Beatrice with Pastor Bill Shaner officiating. Burial of the cremains will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday at Emmanuel Lutheran Cemetery of rural Beatrice. A family prayer service will be held at 1:45 P.M. on Friday at the church. A memorial has been established to Make-A-Wish Foundation or Emmanuel Lutheran Cemetery Association. A guestbook for signatures will be available at the Fox Funeral Home from 8:00 A.M. until 9:00 P.M. Thursday and at the church one hour preceding the services on Friday. Fox Funeral Home of Beatrice is in charge of the arrangements.
