They expect to arrive at West Liberty, Friday night, and the funeral will probably be held Saturday with burial at Pedee beside her husband who died in Texas last week and was buried at Pedee, Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Wilson, who were formerly residents of the Rochester community, had gone to spend the winter with their son, J. S. Wilson, at Brady, Texas, but both were stricken with pneumonia, with fatal results. 24 January 1929 - West Branch Times Ida May Crees, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Crees, was born in Iowa Township, Cedar county, Iowa, March 29, 1864, where she grew to womanhood. On Feb. 21, 1895, she was united in marriage to Alvah W. Wilson. To this union were born three children, George H. dying in infancy, Mary Jane Heick of Bennett and Henry W. Wilson of West Branch. In early life she united with the Cumberland Presybterian church at Union Valley, and later became a member of the Methodist church at Rochester, of which she has been a faithful member the remainder of her life. In 1904 she, with her family, moved to Mitchell, S.D., where they resided twelve years and afterward moved to Minnesota where they lived for a short time, coming back to this community in 1915, where they have since made their home. In September of last year, they went to Texas, planning to spend the winter with his brother and family hoping the change of climate would be a benefit to Mr. Wilson's health. After a short illness of flu-pneumonia, she passed away at the hospital in Brady, Texas, Jan. 16, 1929, at the age of 64 years, 9 months and 17 days, just ten days after the death of her husband at the same place. Besides the children mentioned, she is survived by six grandchildren, three sisters, Mrs. W. W. Cary, Mrs. J. A. Burnett of West Liberty and Mrs. C. L. Aikins of San Jose, Calif., and four brothers, George, Willard, Herbert and Chester Crees also of West Liberty, besides other relatives and friends. Services were held at the home of relatives in West Liberty on Sunday, Jan. 20th, at 1:30 p.m., and then at the church in Rochester at which place our sister had been a member for many years. The Rev. H. D. Green, pastor of the M.E. church at West Branch, conducted the services. Burial was made in Pedee cemetery.
