Description	:	MRS. STERLING DIED SATURDAY Mrs. Ida Sterling, one of the Mariners community best known and most highly esteemed matrons, died at her home last Saturday. She had been in declining health for some time. Born near Rumbley, Md., she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Rachel Blake Meredith, and the widow of the late Charles N. Sterling. Read More	MRS. STERLING DIED SATURDAY Mrs. Ida Sterling, one of the Mariners community best known and most highly esteemed matrons, died at her home last Saturday. She had been in declining health for some time. Born near Rumbley, Md., she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Rachel Blake Meredith, and the widow of the late Charles N. Sterling. She had been living here for about 40 years, and was nearing her 85th birthday at the time of her death. A woman of quiet nature, she was devoted to her home and family, but found time to help others all during her long life. She had by her helpfulness and big heartedness gained the affection of many people both old and young. Mrs. Sterling was a real Christian lady, a staunch member of Mariners Methodist Church, and enjoyed the services there and helping in its various activities as long as her health permitted. Funeral services were held in Mariners Church on Tuesday at 2.30 p.m., conducted by the pastor, Rev. John R. Diehl. Interment was in Mariners cemetery. The attendance at the funeral and the beautiful floral pieces sent to honor her memory attested to the regard in which she generally was held. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Wilmer Hinman, Mrs. Gary Blades, and Mrs. Howard Wells, all of Crisfield, eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Her son, Capt.
