Description	:	Ila Marie Mason, 70, of Ottumwa, died Sept. 26, 2005, at Hospice House. Ila was born July 5, 1935 in Ottumwa to Earl and Daisy Riley Jacks. She married Harry Mason and he precedes her in death. Ila was a graduate of Ottumwa High School, Class of 1953. She was a pharmacy technician for Econo Foods in Fairfield. Ila had also worked at Red Dot Food and Harper Brush. Ila is survived by her daughter, Kathy Ann Alps of Racine, Wis.; and a granddaughter, Kathrine May Alps of Racine, Wis. She is also survived by three sisters, Shirley McHargue of Yucapia, Calif., Alleen Gilchrist (Jim) of Ottumwa, Betty Garrett (Jim) of Ottumwa; two brothers, Jimmie Jacks (Delores) of Ottumwa; and Warren Gaffield of Davenport. Ila was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Marrita McCoy; four brothers, Roger Jacks, Junior Jacks, Wayne Jacks and Dick Gaffield. Visitation will begin at IO a.m. Thursday until service time at Shrine of Memories. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, September 29, 2005, at Memorial Lawn Cemetery, with the Rev. Grover Branson officiating.
