Description	:	MARINA - Greetings to all from Ilse, known to so many as a trusted friend. Born Ilse Mathilda Laura Heil, in Stuttgart Germany, she spent her childhood surviving allied bombings, shrapnel wounds and other wartime deprivations. During WWII she met and married the love of her life, Billy Davidson during his tour of duty with the US Army. Bill and Ilse relocated their family to the Monterey Peninsula in the mid 1960's, where Bill retired from the military wanting to spend more time together. Born Ilse Mathilda Laura Heil, in Stuttgart Germany, she spent her childhood surviving allied bombings, shrapnel wounds and other wartime deprivations. During WWII she met and married the love of her life, Billy Davidson during his tour of duty with the US Army. Bill and Ilse relocated their family to the Monterey Peninsula in the mid 1960's, where Bill retired from the military wanting to spend more time together. Bill and Ilse opened their business "Indoor/Outdoor Service." They were also known for their huge involvement with the Marina Civic Association. Ilse was named "Honorary Mayor" of Marina, California during its' incorporation. Ilse continued her life journey for 12 more years after the passing of her husband, Bill in July, 2000. Ilse is survived by her two sons: Louis C. (Judy) Davidson of Nashville, Tennessee and Rickey W. (Dana) Davidson of Merced, California; and five grandchildren: Grant, Guy, Kelly, Matthew and Tana Davidson. There are also five great-grandchildren bringing up the rear. Isle had an unconditional love for animals and asked that instead of flowers to please donate to the SPCA of Monterey County. Graveside service is planned for Friday, March 2, 2012 at 12noon at San Carlos Cemetery, Monterey, California. Arrangements are by Mission Mortuary, Monterey, California.
