Imogene (Coontz) Chapman, age 90, a former resident of Belington and more recently of West Mifflin, PA, departed this life Thursday afternoon November 3, 2016 in the Manor Care Health Service at Whitehall Borough, PA, following a period of declining health. She was born on September 27, 1926 at Belington, a daughter of the late Ray and Dove Gainer Coontz. On October 7, 1945 she was united in marriage to Johnnie Wilson Chapman who preceded her in death on August 29, 2005. She was born on September 27, 1926 at Belington, a daughter of the late Ray and Dove Gainer Coontz. On October 7, 1945 she was united in marriage to Johnnie Wilson Chapman who preceded her in death on August 29, 2005. She is survived by one son; Charles Chapman and wife Patti of Westmoreland, PA, two daughters; Diann Blank and husband John of West Mifflin, PA and Madaline Toci of Eighty Four, PA, two sisters; Mary Ramsey and Lucretia Tucker and husband Tom all of Belington, five grandchildren; Tracy Woodman, Anthony Toci, Matthew, Toci, Scott Blank, and Reed Chapman, and four great-grandchildren; Bishop Toci, Caleb Toci, Josh Woodman, and Miya Toci. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one grandson; Todd Chapman, one brother; Eddie Coontz, one sister-in-law; Ruth Coontz, one brother-in-law; Bob Ramsey, and one son-in-law, Richard Toci. Imogene attended the schools of Barbour County and was a homemaker. She was Presbyterian by faith and was a former member of the Lambert Church. She loved to cook and her food was award winning, growing up on a farm she raised large plentiful gardens; she loved her family very much and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. A graveside Service will be conducted from the Lambert Chapel Cemetery near Belington . Interment will then follow with the Rev. Jimmie E. Tallman officiating . The Talbott Funeral Home in Belington is in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Imogene (Coontz) Chapman.
