INEZ BOYER Funeral services were held Wednesday at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Valley Falls, for Mrs. Inez Boyer, 87, Valley Falls, who died Sunday in the Winchester hospital. She had been ill several months. She was born Jan. 1, 1887, at Valley Falls, the daughter of James and Mary Andrews Falls, and spent her life in the Valley Falls community. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran church, Valley Falls, and formerly was a member of the Marys and Marthas society at the church. She was a member of Royal Neighbors of America and formerly was a member of Valley Falls Chapter no. 403, Order of the Eastern Star. Her husband, Max Boyer, died in May, 1926. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Mary Lou Rogers, San Diego, Calif., and Mrs. Maxine Schweikard, Leucadia, Calif.; three sons, Norman Boyer, San Francisco, Calif., Ralph Boyer, Long Beach, Calif., and Eugene Boyer, Topeka; a sister Mrs. Blanche Diehl, Lawrence; and five grandchildren. Burial was in Valley Falls cemetery. Nellis-Hagge Funeral Home, Valley Falls, was in charge of arrangements. Officiating at the services were the Rev. Richard Carlson and Dr. Ernest Tonsing. Mrs. Elmer Wood was organist. Pallbearers were Bill Barker, Bob Simpson, H.D. Wyatt, Bud Simons, Pat Davies and Joe Newman. Thanks to GLC for this obituary.
