Read More	Obituary from Valley Falls Vindicator 21 May 1926 Max Boyer, the third son of Ami and Lou Boyer, was born January 11, 1886, in Lincoln County, Kansas, and died at his home in Valley Falls the evening of May 14, 1926, aged 40 years, 4 months and 3 days. He came to Valley Falls with his Father, his sister Grace; and his two brothers, Ray and Ralph, in the spring of 1898, his mother having died the preceding spring. He attended the public schools of this town and early entered the employ of Lou Hauck, where he remained until he was 28 years old, when he engaged in the grocery business, establishing the D-B Grocery with his brother-in-law, Charles F. Diehl, who died September 18, 1925. On April 19, 1910, he was married to Inez Falls. To this union were born five children -- Maxine Leone, aged 14; Charles Eugene, aged 13; Mary Lou, aged 9; James Norman, aged 7; and Ralph Falls, aged 3. He was a member of the Woodman and Masonic lodges and the Knights of the Ku Klux Klan. He is survived by his wife and five children, his father, A. Boyer of Seneca Falls, New York; two brothers, Ray Boyer of Locke, New York; and Ralph Boyer of Sacramento, Calif., and Donald and Beth Allen, children of his deceased sister, Grace, and Raymond Boyer of Locke, N. Y. Services were held from the home Monday afternoon at 2:30 by Rev. Kimball assisted by Rev. Tonsing, reading the scripture and offering the prayer. Messers Fred Legler and C. B. Gillispie and Mesdames Fred Legler and Lou Hauck singing the funeral hymns. Miss Mary Marsh at the Piano. The Masons were present in large numbers and after conducting the body to the tomb gave their funeral services at the grave. Interment was in Farrar cemetery.
