Find links to other siblings at the end.] The following year she was united in marriage to Christian W. Larsen and they made their home on a farm nine miles south of St. Edward. To this union were born six children, Christian, Jr., Lillian, Clarence and Marie who preceded her in death, Ernest of Belle Fourche, South Dakota, and Mrs. Grayce Clark of St. Edward. She is survived by her husband, and two children; a brother, Jacob Rasmussen of Westby, Montana; four grandchildren and two great–grandchildren; a niece, Mrs. Hannah Jorgensen of Fremont, Nebr, who shared her parental home in Denmark and many other nieces and nephews. Her parents, two sisters, two brothers and one great-grandchild preceded her in death. Although in poor health for several years, she became seriously ill in May 1952 and passed away at Genoa Haven Nursing Home on August 18, 1953 at the age of 80 years, 2 months and 14 days. Mrs. Larsen was a member of the Augustana Lutheran Church of Genoa. She was confirmed in Denmark and was a devoted member of the Lutheran Church during her life time and a faithful and willing worker as long as her health permitted. She was a kind and loving mother and wife, a thoughtful friend, and a generous neighbor. Funeral services were held at Augustana Lutheran Church in Genoa on August 20th with the Rev. Kenneth Peterson officiating. Mrs. Peterson presided at the organ as Miss Beverly Cromwell sang Mrs. Larsen's favorite hymns "What a Friend We Have in Jesus," "I Surrender All," and "The Old Rugged Cross." Burial was in Evergreen cemetery at St. Edward. Pallbearers were her nephews. Clarence Rasmussen, Chas. Bradbury and Geo. Ulrich of Hooper, Nebr., Niels Nelson of Blair, Jorgen Larson, Fremont, and Royal Day, Ames. Relatives and friends attending from a distance were Mr. and Mrs. E. V. Larsen of Belle Fourche, S. D.; Mr. and Mrs. B. L. Knudson and Tracy Clark of Lincoln; Mr. and Mrs. Max Hein, Mr. and Mrs. L. A. Wentzel, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Francis and Jorgen Larson, of Fremont; Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Larsen of Wolbach; Mrs. Frederick Harris, Columbus; Mr. and Mrs. F. C. Harris, Monroe; Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Jorgensen, Mrs. Merle Meier, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Ulrich, Chas. Bradbury, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Rasmussen all of Hooper; Mrs. Morris Meier, Scribner; Mr. and Mrs. Royal Day, of Ames; Mr. and Mrs. Niels Nelson of Blair; Mr. and Mrs. Donald Rasmussen, Palo, Ill.; Mrs. Wm. Sinclair and daughter, Mary Pat, Council Bluffs, Ia.; Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Noreen, Mrs. Laura Cumming, Monroe; Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Jensen and Terry, Lindsay; arid Mr. and Mrs. Herman Christensen, Columbus. Our dear one has been called away To join the heavenly throng; We would not wish to have her stay Because she suffered so long. She was so sweet so kind and good So thoughtful in every way, Busy making lovely things For dear ones, for church, and those far away. She loved her Savior, to her He was ever near, Bringing comfort, hope and blessings to her Through all the year. We will miss her, oh, so very much, Her songs, her words of cheer; But know that she is happy now With those she held most dear. Brother Jacob is buried in Danville Cemetery, Alkabo, North Dakota.
