Larsen, who noted his 100th birthday on February 15, died Sunday at the nursing home in Fullerton. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at two oclock in the Augustana Lutheran Church in Genoa. Burial was in the cemetery at St. Edward. The John Hasch Funeral Chapel at Genoa was in charge of arrangements. Mr. Larsen was born February 15, 1867 in Denmark, coming to America with his parents when he was one. The family first lived on Washington Island, Wisconsin, coming to Nebraska in 1884. He married Ingeborg Rasmussen in Fremont, Nebraska in 1890. They soon moved to St. Edward and raised their family. They moved about some, living in Boone, Nance, and Dodge counties before moving to a farm close to their daughter Grayce and family, near St. Edward in 1948, and later to his home in Genoa. After the death of his wife on August 18, 1953, he lived alone until entering the nursing home in Fullerton on September 1, 1966. He leaves to mourn his passing one brother, Alfred Larsen of Wolbach; one sister, Mrs. Ida Harris of Monroe; four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and his daughter-in-law, Mrs. Ernest Larsen of Belle Fourche, South Dakota. Preceding him in death were his wife, six children, three sisters and three brothers.
