Read More	Ingrid Mathilda Berg Inberg--obituary from the Vermillion Plain Talk--April 1917 Mathilda Inberg was born in Clay County, South Dakota on March 12, 1872 and died April 11, 1917 at her home in Riverside Township being at the time of her demise forty-five years and one month. She was reared in Christian parents but her mother dying during her early youth, the responsibility of the household fell upon her and these duties she performed with well nigh motherly devotion. She was baptized and confirmed in the Dalesburg Lutheran Church and was a member of that congrgation until her death. SHe was married to Joseph Inberg on October 16, 1895 and to them were born nine children, namely, Willie, Edith, Paul, Anita, Frances, Viola, Elmeda, Roland, and Dorothea. She was an ideal mother, aiming at all times to guide them in the path of rectitude. Hers was the life of prayer and faith. Her home was always open to the old and young in the community. Transients passing through the community found at home of the Inberg's welcome and cheer. Her relations to the community were such that her absence will be keenly felt. Certainly a devoted and humble Christian has left the earth. How she will be missed in the home. The bereaved husband and children, brother, and sisters who survive her have our heart felt sympathy. A large concourse of people attended the funeral. Pastor Ford preached a very appropriate sermon. She was interred in the Lutheran cemetery at Dalesburg. "A mother's voice to me is hushed and silent, it speaks to me no more thru lips of pain. Though burning tears from heart founts deep unwelling. Fall thick and fast showers of April rain. They cannot wake her from silent dwelling. Nor bring my mother back to me again. Silent Tears, softly from your breaking heart. And blind no more these deeply sinful eyes. But may thy spirit, ever watchful waking, Prove strongest love in stormy after-skies, My willful heart by thine so off give, Keep safely then until we meet in Heaven."
