Kindt, 79 years 9 months 2 days, retired farmer, living on the farm of his son, near Kanopolis Reservoir, died Sunday night at the Lindsborg Hospital after an illness of several weeks. He was the son of William and Lucella Kindt, pioneers, living on a farm in southeast Ellsworth County, where he was born and made his home until his death. He is survived by six daughters, Mrs. Ina McCormack, Pierre, S.D.; Mrs. Irma Mitchell, Little River Kan.; Mrs Iris Crane, Osawatomie, Kan.; Mrs. Imo Stice, Grandview, Wash.; Mrs. Ida Jacobs, Langley Kan,; Irene Josephine of the home and three sons, Ivan, Sterling Kan.; Iril, Marquette and Ira John of the home; twenty-five grandchildren; twenty-nine great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Carrie; four sons and three daughters. Mr Kindt was a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge since 1879. As a tribute, friends and relatives gave a monetary gift to the Cancer Fund in memory of Mr. Kindt. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Olson Funeral Home in Marquette with Rev. Merlin F. Norman officiating. Burial was in the Langley cemetery with members of the local Odd Fellows Lodge having charge of the committal service.
