He came to Polk county, Nebr., in 1870, where he lived until 1886. He then moved to that part of Cheyenne county, which is now Garden county, and took a claim on Blue creek, north of Lewellen. He lived there until 1904 when he took land under the Kincaid law which he held until 1918. He came to Polk county, Nebr., in 1870, where he lived until 1886. He then moved to that part of Cheyenne county, which is now Garden county, and took a claim on Blue creek, north of Lewellen. He lived there until 1904 when he took land under the Kincaid law which he held until 1918. He sold it and moved to Lewellen, where he lived until his death on February 23, 1934, at the age of 83 years and 6 days. Mr. Paisley had a jolly word and a pleasant smile for everyone. He came as near living the Golden Rule as anyone could. He was a member of the Presbyterian church and was true to its fundamental teachings, being a firm believer in God who has called him home. Mr. Paisley was married to Mary M. Wilson September 20, 1875, and to this union was born 11 children, three of them, Mary and Finley, who died in infancy, and Mrs. Eva White, who died in 1924, preceded him in death. The following children survive: Harry, of Las Vegas, Nev.: Mrs. Cora Clark, of Oshkosh; John M., of Los Angeles, Calif.; Mrs. Clara Sellers of Ashton, Idaho; Mrs. Myrtle Robinson of Verse, Wyo.; Mrs. Pearl Robinson, Mrs. Irene Roberts and Ira Paisley of Lewellen. He is also survived by 29 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Daughetee at the Methodist church in Lewellen Sunday, February 25, and interment was made in the Ash Hollow cemetery, the Home Undertaking Parlor being in charge.
