Neiswender was published in the "Niles Daily Star" newspaper, in Niles, Michigan, on Aug. 29, 1975, page 2: ----- Ira R. Neiswender. BUCHANAN - Ira R. Neiswender, 93, died at 4:15 p.m. Thursday at Dor-A-Lin Nursing Home, Niles. A farmer, he came to Niles 59 years ago [in 1916], from Ankeny, Iowa. Mr. Neiswender was born April 8, 1882, at Macy, Ind. His wife, the former Jennie Young, whom he married Feb. 29, 1912, died in 1962. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Lawrence (Marjorie) Mitchell of Niles, a sister. Mrs. Clarence Kenny of Niles, one grandchild and three great-grandchildren. Mr. Neiswender was a charter member of the Buchanan Co-ops Credit Union. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the Swem Chapel of the Swem-Smith Funeral Home. The Rev. John P. Rees will officiate and burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after noon Saturday. -----------------------------
