Read More	OBITUARY: Urbana Child Bone Disease Victim Dies on Anniversary of Sister's Demise in 1911 IRENE ELGENE CUE BENTON COUNTY NEWS (Special to Daily Times) Urbana, Feb. 15,---On the morning of St. Valentine's day, exactly 26 years after the death of one of her sisters, after four years of suffering, died 11 year-old Irene Elgene Cue, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Cue of Oelwein, at the home of her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. E.E. Culver, south of here. The immediate cause of Irene's death was pneumonia, but her little body had long been shattered by osteomyelitis, a rare disease of the bone and marrow with which she was stricken in May, 1933. For two years the little girl was a patient at the University hospital at Iowa City. Since returning from the hospital she had been cared for by her aunt, Mrs. John Graueholtz at the Culver home. On Feb. 14, St. Valentine's day--1911 one of the child's sisters, Letha May died. Irene was born June 2, 1925, at Oelwein. Because of her mother's ill health she was taken, when three months old, to live with her grandparents. She is survived by her parents, three brothers--Grover and Obbie of Oelwein and Elden of Urbana, three sisters--Mrs. Edith Abernathy of Vinton, Marietta and Betty Lou of Oelwein, and four grandparents--Mr. and Mrs. E.E. Culver of Urbana and Mr. and Mrs. H.J. Cue of Randalia, Ia. One brother and three sisters had died before her. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Feb. 16, at 1:30 p.m. in the Urbana Methodist church. The Rev. James Dellahook will be in charge. Burial will be in Kisling cemetery.
