She was born Sept. 9, 1924, in London, England, the daughter of James and Louise Robbinson George, educated in England and drafted into the Land Army serving England during World War II. She married VaDow Squier, Sept. 25, 1944, in Ilford, England, then worked in factories until the couple came to the United States in 1946, settling in Atwood. Mrs. Squier worked for F.W. Woolworth in 1948, later was employed at Logan County Hospital as a surgical aide, retiring in 1980. She was a member of Does Drove No. 213, Atwood Community Club, VFW auxiliary and Senior Citizen's Club. Mrs. Squier is survived by her husband, VaDow Squier of Atwood; a son, Robert Squier, City Councilman who is Mayor Pro-Tern of Sterling; a daughter, Linda Richie of Merino; a brother, Les George of New Zealand; three grandsons, Kevin Richie and Brian Richie, both of Merino, and Jeff Squier of Sterling; and a granddaughter, Kelly Squier of Sterling.
