He passed away February 17, 1884 at the Cherry County Hospital at 78 years of age. On December 23, 1928, he married Lillie Woche on the Hornby ranch of Valentine. To this union nine children were born. March 17, 1973, Ivan married Nellie Woche Reagan in Valentine, Nebraska. He worked for Holt County bridge crew for three years. The next 31 years of employment was spent at Mullen Brothers.He continued to do mechanic work at his home until his eye-sight failed.... He was a self-made carpenter and all jobs were done with great skill. His past time and greatest pleasure was his huge garden.Ivan was preceded in death by wife Lillie, and two infant sons who died at birth. He is survived by his wife Nellie, sons Ken, Raymond and David of Valentine, Larry of Salt Lake City, Utah, Shirley of Seeley, Montana, Leona of Mexico, Missouri, Kathy of Scottsbluff, Nebraska, two step-daughters, Judy of Porter, Texas, Neva of Porter and Danny of New Caney, Texas. He also leaves 22 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews, plus a host of many friends. Ivan was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed by all. Funeral services were held Tuesday, February 21, 1984 at 2;oo p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Valentine. Interment was at Mount Hope Cemetery in Valentine with Sandoz Chapel of the Pines in charge of arrangements. -------------------------
