He came to Whitley[should be Noble] County, Indiana, with his parents in 1845. They settled on the banks of Big Lake. He married 3 times. His first was to Almira[Eleanor] Nobles who had 1 child, the 2nd wife, Mary Ann Johnson[Johnston] had 6 children but 3 are living now, the last wife was Sarah Monroe who had 2 children. The living children are: Mrs. Ellen Bennett and Mrs. Ida Beale[Diehl] of Payne, Ohio; Otha, Frank, John and Anna Quinn all of Whitley County, Indiana.
