Miller, Jr., the son of Jacob C. and Emma Boseck Miller, died at his home in Audubon at the age of 60 years and 11 months. He was baptized and confirmed at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Audubon and later became a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Audubon. He attended Audubon Schools and served with the U.S. Army during World War II in the European Theatre. On October 25. 1947 he married Margery M. Miller in Omaha, Nebraska. They lived their married life in Audubon where he operated and owned heavy equipment. In addition to his church membership, he belonged to the Masonic Blue Lodge, the York Rite Masonic Bodies, and the Za-Ga-Zig Shrine Temple of Des Moines, Iowa where he was a charter member of the Pacers parade unit, a member of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Audubon. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Goldie, Mrs. John Murray, and a brother, Granville Miller. Survivors include his wife, Margery of Audubon; his children and their spouses: Barbara and Lieutenant Commander Tom Bukoski of Fernandina Beach, Florida; Jacob Clayton and Karen Miller of Overland Park, Kansas; and Sue Ellen Miller of Iowa City, Iowa; three grandchildren; His brothers and sisters: Beulah, Mrs. George Rasmussen of Commerce City, Colorado; Edgar Miller and Reford Miller, both of Audubon; Clair Miller of Independence, Iowa; and Faye, Mrs. Richard Frederiksen of Audubon; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives. The family of Mr. Miller appreciates the many expressions of sympathy and concern. Everyone is invited to meet with them in the church basement following the committal service.
