The son of Jacob Chris and Emma Boseck Miller, he was born August 7, 1912, on his parents’ farm in Chickasaw County near Pocasset, Oklahoma. Read More	OBITUARY Reford Fred Miller, 87, died Thursday, May 4, 2000, at the Friendship Home in Audubon. The son of Jacob Chris and Emma Boseck Miller, he was born August 7, 1912, on his parents’ farm in Chickasaw County near Pocasset, Oklahoma. The family moved to the Audubon area, he was baptized and confirmed at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Audubon. He attended rural school in Melville Township in Audubon County and then helped operate the family farm. On January 12, 1937, he was united in marriage to Hilda Moeller in Omaha, Nebraska. They farmed several farms in Audubon County then purchased their farm east of Audubon in 1948. They operated the farm until he retired in 1976. They moved into Audubon and maintained their home until Hilda became a resident of the Friendship Home in 1997. Reford moved to the Friendship Home in April of 2000. He was a member of Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Audubon. He had been a member of the Audubon County Fair Board for many years and had served as president. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers and sisters: Goldie Murray, Beulah Rasmussen, Granville Miller, Clare Miller, Jacob Miller and Edgar Miller. Survivors include his wife, Hilda Miller of Audubon; his children and their spouses: Russell Miller and his wife, Donna, of Tonica, Illinois; Arlys Cardwell and her husband, Thurman , of Littleton, Colorado; Dennis Miller and his wife, Betty, of Audubon; his grandchildren: his great-grandchildren; a sister, Faye Frederiksen and her husband, Richard, of Audubon; sisters-in-law: Lois Miller of Panora; Evelyn Miller of Independence; Lula Miller of Audubon; and Marge Miller of Brownsville, Texas; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 6, at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Audubon with Pastor Walter Kukkonen officiating. Interment will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery in Audubon. Friends may call at their convenience at the Kessler Funeral Home in Audubon.
