Description	:	OBIT: Jacob Cleman, aged 58, a resident of the Kittitas Valley almost all of his life, passed away quietly in his sleep at 6 o'clock this morning at the family residence, 511 North Chestnut Street, death having been caused by paralysis, believed to be the direct result of an attack of influenza several years ago. Mr. Cleman had been an invalid for a number of years prior to his death. Mr. Cleman had been an invalid for a number of years prior to his death. The deceased was born near Yakima, May 12, 1866, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Cleman, who were real pioneers to the Northwest, having come to Oregon in the early days. In the summer of 1887 he married Miss Nora Sharp who survives him. Eleven children were born of which 10 survive--Clarence Cleman, Olympia; Mrs. Lela Patchett, Aberdeen; Arthur Cleman in France; Herbert Cleman, Ellensburg; Ralph Cleman, Los Angeles; Harold Cleman, Ellensburg; Mrs. Alice Bilby, Snoqualmie; John, Chester, Lawrence and Rosalie Cleman, Ellensburg. Mr. Cleman also leaves one brother, John Cleman of Yakima, and four sisters, Mrs. Olive Sander, Mrs. Andrew Olsen and Mrs. Flora Small of Ellensburg and Mrs. Ruth Pressy of British Columbia. Funeral arrangements will be announced later. The body is at the J. T. Honeycutt Parlors. Ellensburg Daily Record, September 27, 1924
