Philip and James Church at St. James Monday at 10 a.m., with Rev. Godfrey Meiergaard officiating. Burial was made in the parish cemetery under the direction of Wintz Mortuary. Jacob, son of Conrad and Catherine Guenther was born January 27, 1893 at Monterey. In 1903 the family moved to Creighton and in 1914 moved to Crofton. He was married to Regina McNally at Crofton October 15, 1917. They made their home in the Crofton community until 1939 when they moved to Wynot. He was a farmer during his lifetime. He was a member of SS. Philip and James parish at St. James. He is survived by his wife, Regina; five sons, Armond, Harold, Marvin, James and Ralph, all of Wynot; four daughters, Mrs. Dale (Eleanor) Bergman of Shell Lake, Wis., Mrs. Alphonse (Verna) Pinkelman of Wynot, Mrs. Vern (Dorothy) Murray and Mrs. Jerome (Alice) Schumacher of Hartington; three brothers, Henry, Anthony and Conrad, all of Crofton; four sisters, Mrs. Kathrine Schieffer of Hartington, Sister Nicasia of Gallup, N.M., Mrs. Joe (Christina) Schieffer of Crofton and Mrs. Joe (Theresa) Maly of Crofton; and a number of grandchildren.
