Mr. Parr had suffered a paralytic stroke the previous day and was taken to the hospital. Mr. Parr was born near St. Charles, Mo., in 1856 and later moved to Nebraska. He is survived by five daughters and one son. Funeral services were held at St. Joseph Catholic church Friday morning at 9:30 o'clock with burial in Sacred Heart cemetery at Oleyan. ''''''''''''''''' The Dodge Criterion (Dodge, Nebr.), November 6, 1930, p. 1, col. 2 & 3 Funeral Services For Jacob Parr Held Friday Burial Made in Sacred Heart Cemetery at Oleyen The funeral of Mr. Jacob Parr was held Friday morning at nine thirty at St. Joseph's church with interment in the cemetery at Oleyen beside his first wife. Jacob Parr was born in Missouri 1857 the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Parr, pioneers of Colfax County. He came to this community with his parents when but a child and grew to manhood on a farm near Oleyen. He was married to Theresa Wingender and to this union were born six children who survive him, five daughters, Mrs. Lena Christensen, Mrs. Elsie Coleman, Mrs. Kate Kolash, Mrs. Agnes Baudo, all of Omaha, Mrs. Anne Mullis of Los Angeles, California and one son, Jake Parr of Omaha. Nine grand children and four great grand children and four brothers also survive. Following the death of his wife in 1894 he left his farm in Colfax county, moving with his family to Omaha. Here he was united in marriage to Bertha Bush who passed away eight years later. A few years ago he retired from active work and moved to Dodge, which has been his home until his death Wednesday morning. Out of town relatives here for the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Baudo, Mr. and Mrs. A. Christensen, Mrs. Ed Kolash, Mrs. Elsie Coleman and Mr. Jake Parr, all of Omaha, Mr. and Mrs. Ben T. Parr and Mrs. R. F. Huff, Norfolk and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Limbach and Mr. and Mrs. Rudy Bush of Howells.
