Description	:	Jacob Lincoln Holland, a resident of Villisca and vicinity for thirty years, died Monday morning at 5:15 o’clock at his home in this city, his death resulting from pernicious anemia after illness of several months. He had been confined to his bed nearly two months. Jacob Lincoln Holland was born in Des Moines County, Iowa, December 28, 1859 and was 66 years old at his death. He was married to Ella R. Read More	Jacob Lincoln Holland, a resident of Villisca and vicinity for thirty years, died Monday morning at 5:15 o’clock at his home in this city, his death resulting from pernicious anemia after illness of several months. He had been confined to his bed nearly two months. Jacob Lincoln Holland was born in Des Moines County, Iowa, December 28, 1859 and was 66 years old at his death. He was married to Ella R. King on December 28, 1881 at New London, Iowa and to this union was born one son, Curtis of Villisca, who survives. The wife and mother died April 8, 1922. Mr. Holland was married to Mrs. Claudia Ferschoff in Villisca on February 2, 1924, who with her daughter, Catherine Ferschoff, survive. There are also two granddaughter, Hortense and Maxine Holland and the following brother and sisters: A. H. Holland, New London, Iowa; D. M. Holland Prove, South Dakota,; Mamie Mathews, Oklahoma City; Mrs. Frank McGohan, Fairfield, Iowa; and Mrs. Albert Cornick and Mr. Emerson Mathews, Mount Pleasant, Iowa. All of Mr. Holland’s life was spent in Iowa, with the exception of living years spent in Nebraska. He settled north of Villisca, where at the time of his death he owned two farms. He came to Villisca to reside sixteen years ago. He was a member of the Methodist Church since his early manhood and he was a member also of the M. W. A. Lodge. Following the death his body was taken to the A. B. Well’s Funeral Home, to await the funeral which was held in the Methodist Church Tuesday at 2:30 o’clock, with Rev. Geo. A. Lawton in charge of the service. The singing was by J. H. Todd, H. C. Lindell, and the Misses Georgia and Lucille Winter, with Miss Erman Edwards at the organ, and the pall bearers were A. W. McCoy, J. F. Taylor, Henry Bryson, B. R. Mayhew, J. J. Palmquist, and Clint Powers. Interment was in the Villisca Cemetery.
