Mr. Berry who was 63 years of age had been in his usual garden when stricken. Death came almost instantly. The evening before, Mr. Berry had attented services at the Med. Episcopal Church of which he was a active member. Jacob N. Berry was born in Missouri 1858, in 1881 he moved with his family to North Dakota and in 1891 they came to the Northwest locating in the Cove East of Palouse, where they lived until some two years ago. When Mr. Berry retired from active work and he and Mrs. Berry moved to Palouse. He was a man of the Strictest intergrity, a good neighbor and a good citizen and was help in the HIGHEST ESTEEM BY ALL WHO KNEW HIM. He had been a faithful member of the Med. Ep. Church since he was 28 years of age and was for many years the leading spirit in the Sunday school conducted in the Cove dist. Mr. Berry was the father of 13 children. The wife and 12 children all Grown, survive him. The children are, Mrs. Wm. Torrey, Albany Oregon, Mrs. Boyd Fisher, Jesse, Chester, and Theodore Berry, Palouse. Mrs. R.B. McKinney, George W. and Rudolph Berry, Hussar Alberta, Mrs. H.H. Angny, Elk River, Mrs. W.A. Davidson, L.A,. Joseph M. Berry, of Milwaukee, and Mrs. Guy Comstock, Potlatch, Idaho.
