Description	:	THE DEATH RECORD Jacob Smith Morris Jacob Smith Morris died at his home near Nimrod May 16, 1927, at 10 o'clock a.m., of bronchial asthma from which he suffered for three years. He was 63 years old and a son of the late Smith Morris. He was a member of the Christian Church from early childhood. He was kind hearted and a good neighbor, a loving husband and father. Read More	THE DEATH RECORD Jacob Smith Morris Jacob Smith Morris died at his home near Nimrod May 16, 1927, at 10 o'clock a.m., of bronchial asthma from which he suffered for three years. He was 63 years old and a son of the late Smith Morris. He was a member of the Christian Church from early childhood. He was kind hearted and a good neighbor, a loving husband and father. He was loved by all who knew him. Mr. Morris is survived by his widow, Mrs. Leah Morris, and 10 children as follows: Mrs. Luther Covington of Crystal Hill; Mrs. George Spernick of Atlantic City, N. J.; Miss Josephine Morris, of Pittsburgh; Mrs. E. C. Neville, of Philadelphia; Miss Eathel Morris, of Washington; Miss Evy Morris at home; Messrs. George Morris, of Dyke; Irvin Morris of Sparrows Point, Md.; Welford Morris, of Spring Grove, Pa., and Walter Morris, at home, and 14 grandchildren. He also leaves one sister, Mrs. Hiden Morris, and three brothers, Messrs. Alfred, David, and Suel Morris. The funeral services were conducted by his pastor, Rev. W. T. Walters, in Evergreen church. He was laid to rest in Mt. Olivet cemetery. The pallbearers were his nephews and the flower girls his granddaughters. The floral tributes were beautiful. The Ninety and Nine, The Home of the Soul, The Home over There and Nearer My God to Thee were sung in the church by a large concourse of friends. In the Sweet Bye and Bye and The Parting Hand were sung at the grave. Mr. E. Y. Vernon was the undertaker. Not now but in the coming years, It may be in the better land. We'll read the meaning of our tears, And then we'll understand. Then trust in God throughout all the day, Fear not, for he doth hold they hand; Though dark thy way still sing and pray.
