Description	:	Thanks to contributor Dennis Brandt for the following: Jacob's whereabouts in 1860 are unknown, but it appears that he was, or shortly thereafter was, living in Perry County, Pennsylvania. A carpenter by trade, he stood 5' 10" tall and had dark hair and blue eyes. A Civil War veteran, he enlisted in Harrisburg September 2, 1864, mustered into federal service there September 5 as a private with Co. F, 208th Pennsylvania Infantry, and honorably discharged with his company June 1, 1865. He married Mary Arney and fathered William Henry (b. 03/30/67 - born in Perry County), John J.
