Read More	From the Tuesday, October 6, 1925 LeMars Semi-Weekly Sentinel: Mrs. Weidenfeller Was Well Known Resident of Plymouth, County Akron Register-Tribune: The entire community was shocked and grieved by the death of Mrs. A. Weidenfeller late Saturday afternoon. She had previously been in her usual health and spent the day at her regular household duties. A short time before the supper hour, she was stricken with hemorrhage of the brain. Jacobena Ittensohn was born in Rothbaden,Germany August 14, 1870 and died in Akron, Iowa, September 26, 1925, at the age of 55 years, 1 month and 12 days. She came to America with her parents when about two years of age, and they first located at Dubuque, Iowa, afterward living for a number of years near Lansing, Iowa, where she spent her girlhood. She was united in marriage with Aloysius Weidenfeller at Seattle, Washington, January 27, 1891. About a year later they moved to Hawarden, Iowa, and in June, 1896, came to Akron, which has since remained their home. Besides the husband, there are left to mourn her taking away two sons and four daughters—Josephine, Anthony, Anna, Carl, Carl, Mary and Clara, all residing at home, also one sister; Mrs. Anton Wille, of Guttenburg, Iowa. Funeral services were held Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock in St. Patrick's Catholic church and the edifice was filled to capacity with friends who assembled to pay a last tribute of respect. Solemn high mass was celebrated by Rev. Fr. D. K. Hurley, of Anthon, Iowa, who was pastor here for a number of years, with Rev. Fr. E. F. Casey of this city, deacon, and Fr. O'Brien, of Hawarden, sub-deacon. Rev. Fr. Casey paid a tribute to the noble Christian life and character of the departed. There was a wealth of beautiful floral offerings. Interment was In the Catholic cemetery here. Relatives who came from a distance were: Mr. and Mrs. Anton Wille, Sr., their daughters, Theresa and Anna, and son, Wm. Wille and wife, of Guttenburg, Iowa; Mrs. George Rice, of Dubuque, Iowa; Mr. and Mrs. Anton Weidenfeller, of Dixon, Neb.; Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Tritz, of Humboldt, S. D.; Peter Weidenfeller, of Alcester, S. D.; Tony Roeper and Tony and Frank Weidenfeller, of Hawarden, Iowa; Mr. and Mrs. John Weidenfeller and sons, Tony and Leo, and daughter, Mrs. Louis Herren, and Chris Weidenfeller, of Le Mars, Iowa; Mr. and Mrs. Tony Weidenfeller, of Merrill. Among the out of town friends were: Mrs. Anna Mandel, Mrs. Wm. H. Neary, and Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Muth, of Sioux City, and Mr. and Mrs. Geo. H. Schafer, of Chatsworth. Poster's note: According to the 1925 Iowa census, Jacobena was the daughter of Josephine (Geiter) and William Ittensohn.
