Donahue, which occured at his home in Lincoln, Nebr., we lose another good citizen, and one who will be sadly missed by a multitude of relatives and friends. He was a very active man during his life but had suffered for some time of heart trouble before his death. James A. Donahue, son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Donahue, was born in Jackson county, Indiana, January 13, 1866, and died at Lincoln, Nebr., on March 30, 1926 aged 60 years, 2 months and 16 days. When he was four years old his parents moved from Indiana to Pawnee City, Nebr., where he received his education. In 1884 they moved to a farm east of Burchard, Nebr., where he was raised to manhood. He was married to Mary McCarthy September 5, 1893. To this union were born six children, Julia, Alice, Aelred, Omer and Raymond, all of Lincoln, and Mrs. Edward (Ruth) Mitchell, of Axtell, Kansas. He also leaves two grandchildren, one brother, John, of Burchard; three sisters, Mrs. Sally Bracelen, of Lincoln; Mrs. Delia Reinhardt of Atchison, Kansas and Mrs. Nora Faris of Minneapolis, Minn. Mr. Donahue first taught school when first married, later railroading for fourteen years in Kansas and Nebraska. In 1911 the family moved to a farm north of Burchard where they resided until 1925 when he sold out and went to Lincoln. The deceased was a member of the Catholic church and lived a good life, ever ready to do good to others and had a host of friends who extend every sympathy to the bereaved wife, children and other relatives. Funeral services were held at 10 o'clock Thursday, at the Catholic church in Burchard, in charge of Rev. McKenna. Interment was made in the Catholic cemetery.-Burchard Times.
