OBITUARY-THE PAWNEE CHIEF NOVEMBER 6, 1914 JULIA SKEHILL DONAHUE Mrs. Julia Donahue died Monday, October 26, in Lincoln. her son, James, went to Lincoln, Sunday morning, John having remained at his mother's bedside since Friday. The body was brought to Burchard Tuesday afternoon and the funeral was held at 10 o'clock Wednesday morning at the Catholic church. Julia Skehill was born in County Galway, Ireland in 1831. She came to America when she was 18 years old. She was married in Jersey City, New Jersey to Michael Donahue, who had come to this country in 1848. Mr. Donahue was born in Templemore, County Tipperary, in 1828 and died at Burchard October 20, 1911. The couple came to Pawnee county in 1870 from Jackson county, Indiana and for a number of years lived on a farm four miles east and one mile north of Burchard. In 1893 the removed to town, where they passed the remainder of their lives. Mrs. Donahue is survived by five children and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. her two sons are James and John Donahue, of this place, and three daughters are Mrs. Reinhardt, of Atchison, Kas.; Mrs. Sarah Bracelen, of Lincoln, and Mrs. Nora Faris, of Burchard. Another daughter, Mrs Mary Sampson, died in 1890 in Harper county, Kans.
