| Description | : | Born circa 1755 to James and Jane Heedam Beckett in County Antrim, Northern Ireland. He emigrated to Pennsylvania just prior to the Revolutionary War. He served under Captain Andrew Long in 1st Battalion of Pennsylvania Rifle Regiment under Colonel Daniel Brodhead. He married Sarah Taylor, daughter of Major Robert Taylor, circa 1785 and they settled in Washington Co, Pennsylvania.
