Blazek, a former resident of this county, which occurred Sunday, July 20, 1941 at his home in Creston. Funeral services were held from the home Tuesday at 2:30pm, the Rev E.F. Lister, pastor of the Christian church in charge. Burial was in the Bohemian cemetery in Williamson. Blazek, a former resident of this county, which occurred Sunday, July 20, 1941 at his home in Creston. Funeral services were held from the home Tuesday at 2:30pm, the Rev E.F. Lister, pastor of the Christian church in charge. Burial was in the Bohemian cemetery in Williamson. James Blazek, 81, died at his home at 1209 North Divison street Sunday at 4:15 am after an illness of two years. Mr Blazek was born in Bohemia on August 19, 1859, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Blazek. He came to America in 1877. He worked for the Burlington railroad for several years before moving to a farm in Adams County where he lived for 30 years. For the past 27 years he has resided in Creston. In 1882 Mr. Blazek was married to Nettie Fiala at Des Moines. She survives him. Surviving are his wife three sisters, Mrs. Anna Duben and Mrs. Mary Hubatka, bot of Prescott and Mrs. Josephine Vicker of Cromwell; four brothers, Louis of Pocatello, Idaho, and Ed, Victor and WB all of Creston; one step daughter Mrs. James J. Kralik of Nevinville; and two grandchildren Dorothy Kralik of Creston and Roy Kralik of Camp Claiborne, Louisiana. Two brothers, Frank and Joseph preceded him in death.
