Read More	Superior Weekly Journal (Superior, NE), Thursday, February 25, 1932 James Cameron McKee was born near Clarinda, Iowa, January 12, 1870, and departed this life in Superior, Nebraska, February 17, 1932, at the age of sixty-two years, one month and five days. When a young lad, his parents moved to Blanchard, Ia. where he was reared to manhood and lived until 1912. In the early nineties, he was married to Miss Effie Williams, and two daughters were born to this union. At the early age he joined the Reformed Presbyterian Church at Blanchard, Ia., and retained his membership there during the rest of his life. In business he was a grain dealer. He started in this business in Blanchard, where he lived until 1912, when he moved to Westboro, Missouri. In Westboro, he continued to buy and sell grain until 1918, when he moved to St. Joseph, Missouri, where with his brother, Joe, they continued in this business, until the failing health of his father, brought him to Superior, Nebraska, in 1921. Since coming to Superior, he has made his home with his parents and daughter, and has assisted his brother, Knox McKee, in the work at the sale barn. His closing days were spent in the home of his daughter, Mrs. Buford Thompson. He was the oldest of a family of nine children. His father and two sisters, having preceded him in death. He leaves to mourn his loss his aged mother, his two daughters, Mrs. W. Huff, Merriman, Nebraska, and Mrs. Buford Thompson, Superior, Nebraska; four sisters, Mrs. G. R. Tippin, Sterling, Kansas; Mrs. G. Pratt, Rockford, Washington; Mrs. J. E. Wilcox and Mrs. C. E. Adams of Superior; and two brothers, Joe of St. Joseph, Missouri, and Knox of Superior; four grandchildren, besides other relatives and a host of friends. He was reared in a christian home, and has been a member of the church during his lifetime. He was good and loyal friend, a kind and thoughtful father, a firm believer in Christ, faithful and careful student of the Bible, and was loyal to the Christ whom he served. His going takes another of whom it may be said, "These all died in faith." The funeral was held at the Reformed Presbyterian Church Friday afternoon at 2:30, conducted by the pastor, and interment was made in the Evergreen Cemetery. Those attending from a distance were Mr. and Mrs. Joe McKee and son, David, of St. Joseph, Missouri; and Mrs. W. Huff and son, John, of Merriman, Nebraska.
