He was 70 years, 7 months, and 5 days of age. Mr. McKee was born on a farm near Blanchard, Iowa, Jan. 7, 1890, one of the nine children of Mr. and Mrs. J.A. McKee. Read More	The Superior Express (Superior, NE), Thursday, August 18, 1960 John Knox McKee, a well known and respected Superior resident for many years, died last Friday. He was 70 years, 7 months, and 5 days of age. Mr. McKee was born on a farm near Blanchard, Iowa, Jan. 7, 1890, one of the nine children of Mr. and Mrs. J.A. McKee. He came to the Superior community with his parents in 1909, the family settling on a farm near Superior. On May 19, 1914, he was united in marriage to Miss Lottie Frances Touzalin, and to this union, three children were born. Mr. McKee was in the livestock sales business in Superior most of the time since 1925, his weekly livestock auction being the first such enterprise to be held in this area. He united with the Reformed Presbyterian church (sic) at an early age, and remained a member of this church for the rest of his life. At the time of his death, he was an elder in the church here. Surviving are his wife, two sons, Gordon of Superior and Delber of Wilmington, Pa., one daughter, Mrs. William Brake (Elizabeth) of Scotch Plains, N.J., one brother, Joseph of St. Joseph, Mo., one sister, Mrs. C.E. Adams of Superior, eight grandchildren, and numerous other relatives and friends. The funeral service was held at the Megrue Funeral Home Tuesday, Aug 16, with the Rev. T.R. Hutcheson in charge. Interment was in Evergreen cemetery (sic).
