Description	:	After an illness lasting more than a year, James E. Snipe died at his home in the New Hope vicinity Sunday night about 9:40 o'clock, his death being due to tuberculosis. Mr. Snipe was born in Boone county, near Zionsville, April 18th, 1868 and moved to this county with his parents about thirty-five years ago and has since then resided in the county. He was married to Miss Cora George, a daughter of Joe George, a pioneer of Tipton county, January 21st, 1897, and they have since their marriage resided in the New Hope vicinity. Snipe died at his home in the New Hope vicinity Sunday night about 9:40 o'clock, his death being due to tuberculosis. Mr. Snipe was born in Boone county, near Zionsville, April 18th, 1868 and moved to this county with his parents about thirty-five years ago and has since then resided in the county. He was married to Miss Cora George, a daughter of Joe George, a pioneer of Tipton county, January 21st, 1897, and they have since their marriage resided in the New Hope vicinity. There were four children born to their union, three sons and one daughter, Jesse, Ray Omer and Matilda, all surviving the father with the wife. He is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. Martha Birt, of Windfall, and Mrs. Sarah Majors, of Omega. Mr. Snipe was a member of the New Hope church and had lived an earnest, faithful christian life and during all his long illness, he was patient and appreciative of all that was done for him and always expressed his steadfast hope in the immortal life. He was also a member of the K. of P. and Maccabees lodges. Funeral services will be held at the New Hope Church Tuesday morning at 10:30, conducted by Rev. G.D. Foster. The K. of P. lodge and Order of Maccabees will take part in the service. Burial will be at Tipton.
