Mr Dunn died at his home, six miles northeast of St Anthony, in the Dunn settlement, due to a stoke of paralysis suffered a week ago. Mr Dunn had been in failing health for nine years. Mr Dunn was the last survivor of his father's family, and came to this county from Ireland, settling at what is now known as the Dunn settlement, where he has always lived, on March 4, 1856. Mr Dunn was a native of Kings County, Ireland where he was born March 13, 1822. Mr Dunn took as his wife at Marietta in 1862, Miss Fannie Gilmore. who died nine years ago. Eight children are living, in the persons of Mrs Francis Tagatoff of St Anthony, H F Dunn of Armour, South Dakota, W J, James E Jr and Arthur Dunn, all of the Dunn settlement and Misses Bridgie, Marie and Dollie Dunn, who are at home. Thomas and Henry, other sons, died eleven years ago. Mr Dunn is also survived by twenty grandchildren and three great grandchildren. The late William Dunn of New Providence, father of J C Dunn, formerly of this city, but now of Chicago, was a brother of Mr Dunn. Mr Dunn was a charter member of St John's Catholic Church of the Dunn settlement from where the funeral will be held at 10 o'clock Tuesday morning, in charge of Rev L D Tobin. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Monday, September 22, 1913 Evening Times Republican James was the son of Hugh and Margaret (Granny) Dunn. October 8, 1862 he married Frances 'Fannie' Gilmore. They are the parents of 10 children: Bridget, Anna Eliza, Thomas Henry, W. J., Hugh F, Maria, James E, Henry Anthony, Frances Gertrude and Arthur Zenas.
