Description	:	The remains of Mrs Edward Liston, one of the pioneer residents of the Dunn Settlement, St Anthony, who died on the 29th, were laid to rest Thursday in the St Anthony Cemetery, the funeral services having been conducted at St Mary's church by Rev Father Dennis London. She leaves besides her husband three daughters and two sons. Miss Maggie Liston, of this city, another daughter is Mrs Mary Claffey of Marietta and Miss Katherine lives at home. Martin and James Liston, the sons, also live at home. Those who were present at the funeral from this city were Messrs H H Dunn, M M McDonald, W H Kennehan and family, Mrs T O'Brien and Mr E B Dunn. Friday, June 1, 1900 Evening Times Republican The home of Edward Liston, of Dunn's settlement, in Liberty township, was entered by the angel of death on Tuesday night at 10 o'clock and took from there the wife and mother. Bridget Dunn was born in Kings County, Ireland, April 7, 1837. In the spring of 1856 she came to this country and in the fall of 1856 was married to Edward Liston, and since that time has resided on a farm where she died. Several years ago she became the victim of heart disease of which she was never cured. Two weeks ago she was afflicted with a stroke of paralysis, which after great suffering ended her life. She was a patient sufferer and seemed to full realize her end was near. She was a member of the Catholic church. She leaves a husband and five children - Mrs Thomas Claffey of Marietta, Maggie of Marshalltown, Martin, James and Kate who reside at home; also three brothers- William, James E and Hugh Dunn, all of whom except Mrs Claffey, were at her bedside when the final summons came. The funeral services conducted by Rev D London, St Anthony, were at St John's Catholic Church Thursday at 10 o'clock after which interment was in the Dunn Settlement Cemetery. The pallbearers were Henry, Charles and James Dunn, John Flanagan, James Bannon and William Liston, all relatives of the deceased. Tuesday, June 5, 1900 Evening Times Republican Bridget was the daughter of Hugh and Margaret (Granny) Dunn.
